Woman killed by car being chased by police in hit and run in Brixton
A woman has died after she was hit by a car which was being chased by police in Brixton Hill last night.
Police signalled for a car to stop and it failed to do so.
The car sped off from police and collided with a pedestrian at around 9:46pm.
The woman, in her 20s, died at the scene after the car sped off.
The car was found abandoned nearby and police are still on the hunt for the driver and occupants of the car, with no arrests made so far.
The Metropolitan police said: “Officers are in the process of informing all her next of kin.
“The Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed as is routine.”
