Things We Chose To Save

12 Oct – 13 Oct 2018

“As I grew up, I wondered if there was a better way to remember the important things. And it turns out, there was.”

In ten years’ time, we discover a way to record, store and replay memories at will. Editing memories becomes a booming business, and Molly is one of its leading lights. She watches thousands of other people’s memories every day. Billie, on the other hand, has no idea what she’s getting into when she decides to sell a memory of her own.

Their worlds collide in this new production from exciting new company Clown Funeral. A thoughtful and funny exploration of how we remember, what we remember, and why.

The Giant Killers

15 Oct 2018

Set in the early years of Association Football, The Giant Killers follows a ragtag bunch of Lancashire mill workers who defied all odds to become the first working-class team in the country to play in the FA Cup. Left tired and despondent from the cotton famine of the 1870s, this small group of northern lads found pride and hope in a game that up until then had been reserved for the upper classes.
