Welling boxer Archie Sharp makes title defence in March at Royal Albert Hall

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Archie Sharp makes the first defence of his WBO European title on March 8 at Royal Albert Hall against Lucas Ballingall.

The 23-year-old from Welling won the belt with a unanimous decision over Leon Woodstock in October.

Sharp’s record is a perfect 14-0 – seven of his wins inside the distance.

Ballingall also has a 100 per cent record in the paid ranks with 11 victories, three of them stoppages.

The Portsmouth man, 22, has won his last three on points.
