Tony Craig leaves Millwall – with Bristol Rovers likely to be next destination

Tony Craig has had his contract terminated at Millwall by mutual consent – and looks set to sign for Bristol Rovers.

The 32-year-old skippered the Lions in their FA Cup draw against Rochdale on Saturday.

A number of League One clubs showed interest in Craig and he has indicated a desire to play.

Millwall have already moved to sign Harry Toffolo as back-up to first-choice left-back James Meredith and they are also well-covered in central defence with Jason Shackell, Jake Cooper and Shaun Hutchinson all ahead of Craig in the pecking order.
