Scunthorpe United v Charlton Athletic team news: Two changes as Karlan Grant and Darren Pratley start

BY LOUIS MENDEZ

Karlan Grant and Darren Pratley return to the starting line-up this evening as Charlton prepare to take on Scunthorpe at Glanford Park.

Grant had been suffering with a dead leg which meant the striker wasn’t risked from the start of Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Luton Town – featuring from the bench for the final fourteen minutes only. Igor Vetokele, who made his first league start since May 2016 for the Addicks at Kenilworth Road returns to the side-lines.

Pratley, who himself made a return to the squad from a hamstring injury on Saturday but didn’t get on the field of play, is preferred to Ben Reeves in the midfield this evening.

Sporting his new pink hair, dyed in aid of Cancer Research UK, Lyle Taylor returns to North Lincolnshire to face his former side this evening.

The Iron are unbeaten in their last five league outings, with Lee Bowyer’s side going one better after Chris Solly stretched their run to six games without defeat with a late equaliser at Luton on Saturday.

Charlton: Steer, Page, Pearce, Sarr, Solly, Pratley, Cullen, Aribo, Cullen, Taylor, Grant. Subs: Phillips, Dijksteel, Lapslie, Morgan, Reeves, Ajose, Vetokele.
