Police appeal for information after teenager shot 10 days ago

Detectives have made an arrest amid an investigation into a Father’s Day shooting in Tulse Hill that left a teenage boy fighting for his life.

Officers arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder on Thursday, 27 June. He was taken to a central London police station where he remains at this time.

Police raced to the scene after reports of shots fired on the Tulse Hill Estate, at 9.40pm on June 17.

A 17-year-old male later turned up at hospital with gunshot wounds where he remains in a critical condition. His next of kin have been informed.

Investigating officer Detective Inspector Ed Facer, said: “The incident happened outside the community centre where a Father’s Day event was taking place. I am confident that there are witnesses who have not yet come forward to police.

“I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who was at the Father’s Day event, or has mobile phone or dash-cam footage of the incident or the preceding events or immediate aftermath.

“We need to hear from you to build on our understanding of what unfolded.”

Police are appealing for witnesses, as well as anyone who was at the event at the time, to come forward.
