Palace to “reset” ahead of Burnley clash says McArthur

by Andrew McSteen

Last March, Crystal Palace put in a strong away performance against Burnley, winning 3-1, which saw them move eight points clear of safety and into 13th place.

Midfielder James McArthur is hoping his side can repeat the away win to put an end to a run of five games without victory after a 2-1 loss against Liverpool on Saturday which saw the Eagles slump to 13th in the table.

“Whenever you lose you need to try and reset and try and go again,” said McArthur to the South London Press ahead of the Burnley match which will see the Eagles travel outside of London for the first time since their 2-1 victory at Manchester United on 24 August – a record of 10 games in a row in the capital.

“Even though it was a top performance it’s about trying to get back to winning ways,” he added. “Burnley are having a very good season and it’s always a tough place to go to so we know we’re going to need to be on it like against Liverpool and hopefully we’ll get that result we’re looking for.”
