Mitcham pensioner goes missing

Police in Merton are appealing for the public’s help to find a missing 81-year-old man.

Patrick Lavender, 81, was last seen at approximately 2.30pm on March 13 when he left his home in Mitcham.

Mr Lavender’s family are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare because he has Alzheimer’s.

Mr Lavender is described as white, of large build with grey hair.

He was wearing a navy blue or black jacket, a red jumper, black trousers and brown shoes at the time of his disappearance.

He had his sandy coloured long haired Jack Russell with him.

Anyone who has seen him is asked to contact officers at Merton via 101 or on Twitter @MetCC
