Missing: Two schoolgirl friends who never made it to class

Police are appealing for help to find two teenage girls who are missing from Lambeth.

Tyra Thomas-Brown, 13, and Salma Mohammed, 15, were both last seen on Monday, 10 September.

Tyra left home at 8.30am to go to school, but did not arrive.

Salma left home at 11:40am stating she was going to visit a friend in Streatham; she failed to return home.

The girls are known to be friends and are thought to be together.

Tyra is described as black, 5ft 8ins tall and of slim build. She has long black hair that she normally wears in a bun. When last seen, she was in her school uniform comprising a purple blazer, a grey hooded top and a black scarf.

Salma is described as black, 5ft 4ins tall, of medium build with shoulder length black hair. She is also known to wear a red wig.

Their families and officers are growing increasingly concerned for the girls’ welfare and would urge anyone who has seen them to contact police.

Anyone who knows of their whereabouts is asked to email LX-MISPER@MET.POLICE.UK or contact the Lambeth Missing Persons Unit via 101.
