Millwall v Fulham: Three changes by Lions boss Rowett while visitors make two switches

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Millwall manager Gary Rowett has made three changes for tonight’s home game against Fulham – and has switched to the 5-2-3 formation which has worked so well on the road.

Tom Bradshaw, Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and Alex Pearce come into the Lions line up with Matt Smith – who used to play for the Whites – dropping out along with Aiden O’Brien and Shaun Williams. The latter has a back injury.

Fulham made two changes from the side which won 1-0 at Blackburn at the weekend. Harry Arter and Aboubakar Kamara start. Kevin McDonald and Ivan Cavaleiro both drop to the bench.

Millwall have lost their last three meetings with Fulham, failing to score in any of them with Aleksandar Mitrovic – the division’s joint-top scorer this season with 20 – netting both times he has faced the South Londoners.

But the Whites have taken one point from their past seven away London derbies – losing six – since winning 3-0 at Millwall in April 2018 when they went on to clinch promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.

Millwall: Bialkowski, Romeo, Hutchinson, Cooper, Pearce, M Wallace, Woods, Molumby, J Wallace, Bodvarsson, Bradshaw. Subs: Steele, Smith, Ferguson, Leonard, Mahoney, O’Brien, Skalak.

Fulham: Rodak, Odoi, Hector, Ream, Bryan, Onomah, Arter, Cairney, Decordova-Reid, Kamara, Mitrovic. Subs: Bettinelli, McDonald, Kebano, Johansen, Cavaleiro, Christie, Sessegnon.
