Millwall team and atmosphere earn respect of Sunderland boss
By Richard Cawley
Sunderland boss Chris Coleman reckons any side will have to stand up and be counted if they want a result at The Den.
The Black Cats, stuck on the bottom of the Championship table, clawed their way to a share of the spoils after a 1-1 draw against Millwall on Saturday.
Coleman said: ‘It is a great place to play because of the atmosphere. If you don’t come here with your sleeves rolled up, you are finished before you get off the bus.
“At least we stood up to the test. We deserved a point. Maybe overall, with the second half, not more than a point.
“Neil [Harris] has done a super job. You can see why they are where they are. They are a strong team.”
