Millwall manager Harris on future of Portsmouth loan ace Thompson
BY RICHARD CAWLEY
Neil Harris has spelled out again that Ben Thompson’s future is firmly as a Millwall player.
The all-action midfielder is winning rave reviews on loan at League One table-topping Portsmouth.
And it has led to some Pompey fans urging the South Coast outfit to try and strike a permanent deal.
Thompson’s loan runs until the end of the season.
Lions manager Harris said: “Ben is at Portsmouth to be part of Kenny Jackett’s squad and to learn under Kenny.
“The aim is for him to get valuable game time at a level we know he is very good at.
“Once his loan finishes he has to come back and become a regular in our first team. My thought process on that hasn’t changed and won’t change.
“Ben is a super lad and a great Millwall player of the future.”
