Aiden O’Brien will play an hour for Millwall under-23s in today’s match at Queens Park Rangers.

The attacker has not played for six weeks due to an ankle injury suffered in the Lions’ epic 4-3 win at Leeds United in January.

Millwall boss Neil Harris said: “Aiden will get 60 minutes. He trained all last week and if need be I could have put him in the squad but we have a healthy group at the moment –  full of fitness, legs and confidence.

“I didn’t feel I had to rush him back. It would have been a risk because he has had seven weeks without playing. This was the right thing to do.

“It is a strong squad going to QPR.”
