Millwall in discussions to sign Barnsley striker Tom Bradshaw

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Millwall are hopeful of concluding a deal for Barnsley striker Tom Bradshaw before the weekend.

The Lions made the Welsh international one of their top targets in the summer transfer window.

The closure of the permanent transfer window before the start of the Premier League campaign did not affect their pursuit – as players simply move initially on loan with a guaranteed full-time deal locking in at the start of January.

Bradshaw is out of contract at the end of this season.

He has started all four of the Tykes’ League One matches and scored in their 2-0 win at Bradford City.

Bradshaw bagged 10 goals in 43 matches for Barnsley last season, despite the struggling Yorkshire outfit losing their Championship status.
