Millwall boss urges fans to take up “great gesture” for Wigan Athletic match

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Neil Harris wants as many Millwall fans as possible to take advantage of the club subsidising coach travel to their final game of the season.

Coach tickets for the match at Wigan Athletic on May 5 – a 12.30pm kick off – now cost just £5.

“It’s a great gesture from Steve Kavanagh [chief executive] and John Berylson [owner],” said Harris, pictured right. “Supporting the cost of travel is a fantastic idea.

“Our fans have travelled in numbers and stuck with us all season – they will do on the last day, as well. I hope as many people as possible take the gesture up and go to the game.

“I know it is an early start and a long day, but football fans support their team through highs and lows.

“We’ve had some wonderful times in the last four years and Sunday could be just as important as any of those other big days in those four years.

“Let’s make sure we finish the season on a high in front of as many Millwall fans as we can.”

The coach tickets are available on a first come, first served basis. Coaches will leave The Den at 6am.

They can be purchased by season-ticket holders and members in person at the ticket office, online at www.millwalltickets.com or via the call centre on 0844 826 2004 and selecting option two.
