Neil Harris has expressed his admiration for Nakhi Wells and Jordan Hugill as his Millwall side look to keep QPR’s vibrant attack quiet in Saturday’s derby at The Den.
Wells, Hugill and Ebere Eze, once in the Lions’ academy, have scored 11 of Rangers’ 12 Championship goals this season.
Wells and Hugill joined on season-long loans from Burnley and West Ham respectively.
Hugill has scored six goals in seven league outings. Wells has three goals and an assist with Eze boasting three goals and two assists.
Ilias Chair has two assists.
Millwall manager Harris said: “QPR have got a very in-form front four. Hugill and Nakhi Wells are two players I’ve admired for a period of time and they have been outstanding at this level.
“Our concentration levels have got to be very good.
“They have won three in a row. Mark [Warburton] started the season with a back four and has gone to a five. It is going to be an interesting battle.
“They have been financially backed to recruit the front pairing and they are proven players at this level. With Ebere tucked in behind it is a great position for him to be able to play behind them with people servicing him with the ball. He’s a threat, a natural talent.”
