Millwall manager Neil Harris has maintained his policy of not discussing individual transfer targets – with the Championship side linked with a move for Bournemouth winger Connor Mahoney.
A national newspaper claimed earlier this week that the Lions had agreed a fee with AFC Bournemouth for the 22-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Birmingham.
But Harris told the South London Press: “I don’t talk about individual players but we have all summer tried to sign players.
“We have been speaking all summer to representatives of players.
“I spoke before about us spending money on players and at the moment we are in for a few players. It is an ongoing process.
“As the game evolves, nothing is quick. But we are trying to move things forward.
“I’m relatively confident that this week and next we will have new players in at Calmont Road.”
