Lynn Boxing Club have a national finalist after Charlie Wincott’s success
Charlie Wincott won his alliance novice semi-final on Sunday at Chingford Hall in Essex.
The Lynn Boxing Club fighter faced A Mohammed from (Cricklewood ABC).
Lynn head coach Terry Pearson said: “I told Charlie on the day that I wanted him to get back to his boxing and not to get to involved by holding his feet too long, as at times he likes to have a tear-up.
“He did exactly what was asked of him and boxed beautifully for four rounds and won a unanimous points decision.
“He will be joined in the final by his club-mate Eyram Avadzi, who got a walkover after his opponent weighed too much on the scales.”
Jacob Koutouan and Salah both lost on points. The finals take place on Sunday at the same venue.
