Lee Bowyer to assess squad ahead of Burton Albion after Krystian Bielik and Jonny Williams both injured against Pompey

Krystian Bielik and Jonny Williams are doubts for Charlton’s home game with Burton Albion on Tuesday.

The Addicks pair were both withdrawn with hamstring injuries during the 2-1 win over Portsmouth at The Valley on Saturday evening.

Charlton chief Lee Bowyer says he will assess the state of his troops at their Sparrows Lane training ground on Sunday.

“[Bielik and Williams are] both tight hamstrings,” he said.

Charlton Athletic’s Krystian Bielik gets away from Portsmouth’s Matthew Clarke

“I don’t know the seriousness of them yet. I thought Krystian was outstanding first-half. Hopefully they are not too serious but it’s too early to tell now. I don’t know if they’ll be available for Tuesday. We’ve got a squad of players and they’ll all be chomping at the bit to play. Hopefully we don’t lose them for Tuesday or for a period of time.

“We’ll have to have a look and see how they all are. Joe Aribo has been struggling with a bit of a tight groin and then I know that Naby Sarr has been the same. The pair of them I’m going to look and see how they are as well. We’ll be in tomorrow, asses everybody and see where we go from there.”

Well done lads it was a great team performance from everyone, all the lads got stuck in and battle for every ball and won most of the second ball which made a big difference. Very good to see. I am Proud of charlton and I haven’t said that for a long time, keep it up lads.
