Lee Bowyer reveals that Charlton defender Lewis Page set for six weeks on the side-lines
Charlton boss Lee Bowyer is set for a selection headache as left-back Lewis Page has been ruled out for six weeks with a groin injury.
The Addicks full-back limped out of Tuesday’s 5-3 defeat at Scunthorpe with a groin injury – and the extent of the set-back has now been revealed.
“Page is out for six weeks,” said Lee Bowyer after the 2-1 home loss against Coventry, who has now has to do without the only senior left-back at the club.
“I don’t know what we’ll do with the left-back situation. I thought Chris Solly did OK there. It’s like we’ve got pick n’ mix. We’ve got Solly playing at left-back, Pearce playing right-centre-half. We’re so unbalanced. But there’s no excuse. The goals shouldn’t be happening. Them goals today shouldn’t be happening. It’s something we’re going to be looking at because it’s not acceptable.”
