Lee Bowyer reveals minimum target for Charlton Athletic to make League One top two

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Lee Bowyer reckons Charlton Athletic need to win at least 11 of their remaining League One games to keep their top-two hopes alive.

The Addicks are at home to Blackpool today.

And Bowyer, who led Charlton to the play-offs last season, said: “There’s no room for error, really.

“We have to win a minimum of 11 of the last 14. So it’s possible – definitely possible.

“I still believe that sides above us are going to drop points. Sunderland dropped a couple against Blackpool on Tuesday.

“That makes our game even tougher – they are obviously a good side.

“But I do believe we can go on a big run between now and the end of the season.”
