Lee Bowyer provides updates on Charlton trialists – as Addicks injury curse claims another victim
Charlton’s injury curse has claimed another victim – one who hasn’t even signed for the club.
The likes of Jake Forster-Caskey, Igor Vetokele, Tariqe Fosu and Billy Clarke are all side-lined at the moment.
Former Brighton man Rohan Ince had been on trial with the South Londoners, but caretaker boss Lee Bowyer has revealed that he won’t be offered a contract at The Valley as he is also carrying a knock.
“Rohan Ince is injured,” said Bowyer.
“So his time will be up with us now. He’s got something wrong with his knee. He had a scan yesterday and he’s got something wrong with his knee.
“He came with it. How he’s been training and playing in the games I don’t know, because he’s injured.”
Midfielder Simon Dawkins has also been training with the Addicks and a decision will be made on his future this week.
“We’ll keep looking at him and he’ll keep training with us,” added Bowyer.
“We’ll have to make a decision one day this week, ahead of next weekend.”
