Lee Bowyer gives his verdict on Charlton’s transfer hopes for Brighton striker Hemed

Lee Bowyer has described Charlton’s hopes of being allowed to sign Tomer Hemed as 50-50 – with his deadline day move from Brighton going right to the wire for the transfer deadline cut-off.
The Brighton striker was set for a permanent move to SE7.
But the Addicks are waiting on a verdict at the start of next week to see if the transfer has got the green light.
“As it stands today it is 50-50 but we say that we put it through on time,” said Addicks boss Bowyer. “So, hopefully the right decision gets made.
“We think it should but it is going to a panel or whatever and we’ll have to go from there.
“We’re hopeful he is going to be our player.
“He was permanent.”
Beram Kayal did arrive from Brighton on a season-long loan but he has a slight injury.
“He’s not completely fit but I accept that though – he’s a great player,” said Bowyer. “If I’m going to lose him for a week or two weeks or a month – I don’t think it is going to be long – but I can have him for the next seven then I’ll accept that.
“It’s nothing major. He is a very good midfielder.”
Asked about whether he had made his mind up over offering a contract to Callum Harriott, Bowyer replied: “Not at the moment – he’s injured. I haven’t decided anything about him.”
