How to tackle overcrowding at Clapham Tube stations

Transport for London will listen to the views of commuters on how to tackle overcrowding and dangerous platforms at an open meeting on March 5.
Clapham Transport Users’ Group wants as many residents as possible to come to the session at the Clapham Omnibus Theatre, Clapham Common Northside, from 6-8.30pm.
Tube, rail and bus chiefs and local councillors will be at the meeting for a panel discussion on possible changes in the network there and to answer any questions from people who use it.
Among the items likely to be discussed are:
* the overcrowding at Clapham Common and Clapham North stations
* the lack of bus or rail alternatives
* the need for routes to The City
* the lack of direct services from Clapham High Street station to Victoria, even though South Eastern services to the terminus pass through, without stopping
* disabled access at Clapham High Street
The venue can be reached using the 88, 137, 249, 322, 417 buses to Clapham Old Town.or trains to Clapham High Street and if necessary an 88 bus.
