Hammersmith and Fulham council is launching a new resident-led Parks Commission to make the borough’s parks and green spaces even better.
The authority is asking the council to develop a new vision for its parks, green and open spaces – including how to protect them for future generations; find the best way to involve people in the decisions made about its parks and encourage more residents to enjoy them; and say what currently works, what could be better, and what doesn’t work in the way its parks and open spaces are managed.
Fulham resident Tim Prager, who is chairman of the new commission, said: “This is an enormous opportunity for residents to get involved in finding ways to sustain, improve and protect for the future, the array of parks and open spaces that improve the quality of our lives in Hammersmith and Fulham.”
If you are a resident of Hammersmith and Fulham with a keen interest in the borough’s parks and open spaces, you could be considered for a seat on the new commission.
“Working closely with residents will help us keep our parks and green spaces in superb condition,” said Cllr Wesley Harcourt, Hammersmith nd Fulham cabinet member for the environment.
