Hamlet cannot hold on as Ex-Millwall striker Philpott turns Dartford’s fortunes
DARTFORD 2 DULWICH 1
By Toby Porter
A crucial goal from former Millwall striker Jamie Philpott ensured hosts Dartford turned this game on its head after Dulwich Hamlet had taken an early lead.
Dipo Akinyemi, pictured, gave Gavin Rose’s side the advantage in the 19th minute and it looked like they would hold on to take the lead into the second period until the ex-Lion’s intervention.
Then Teddy Sheringham’s striker son Charlie converted a penalty on the hour, firing past another ex-Lion, keeper Preston Edwards, to put the hosts ahead and they held on to record victory at the Princes Park Stadium.
