Gary Lineker will be among four star names appearing at a bi-annual fund-raising event at Battersea Arts Centre this week.
The Match of the Day presenter is set to take the stage alongside playwright Simon Stephens, Channel 4 news presenter Jon Snow and performance artist Jessica Thom on Sunday.
The format of the show, entitled A Grand Night Out, is two interviews – with Stephens in conversation with Lineker and Thom quizzing Snow.
The evening, billed as ‘relaxed and informal’, includes a raffle, with winning audience members taking to the stage to interview the guests themselves.
All proceeds from A Grand Night Out will contribute to the £500,000 Battersea Arts Centre needs to raise every year to run and develop artistic community group projects.
Typical of these are The Agency, which supports young men and women from Battersea housing estates to develop their own social enterprises, and BAC Beatbox Academy, whose graduates recently created a five-star show for the centre.
On Sunday, March 17 the centre hosts Performance Live from noon until 9.30pm.
This free event offers a marathon of cutting-edge performances, made for BBC television’s Performance Live strand, featuring work by Akala, Hofesh Shechter, Ishy Din, Kate Tempest, Wayne McGregor, Paul Mason and many others.
Since autumn 2016, BAC has been collaborating with BBC Arts and the Arts Council England to make artist-led programmes for BBC Two.
Performance Live: The Box Set will be a special one-off screening of every episode created to date.
Audiences are welcome to binge for the whole day, or dip in and out throughout the afternoon and evening.
Tickets, though free, can be obtained in advance on 020 7223 2223.
Tickets for A Grand Night Out cost £25-35.
