Funfair, food and fireworks in Blackheath

The annual free Blackheath Fireworks display takes place on Saturday from 8pm. This year’s event will include a funfair from noon, food and bars from 5pm and a fireworks display from 8pm which will last around 15 minutes.

It is the biggest free display in London and regularly attracts thousands of people from across the capital and the south-east. This year’s aerial display, which can be seen for miles, will once again be brought to life by local company Emergency Exit.

The event is free but visitors can support Blackheath Fireworks by making a donation online at https://lewisham.gov.uk/inmyarea/events/fireworks/Pages/default.aspx or on the night via bucket collections.

Everyone at the South London Press thanks you for your continued support.

Former Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick has encouraged everyone in the country who can afford to do so to buy a newspaper, and told the Downing Street press briefing:

“A FREE COUNTRY NEEDS A FREE PRESS, AND THE NEWSPAPERS OF OUR COUNTRY ARE UNDER SIGNIFICANT FINANCIAL PRESSURE”

If you can afford to do so, we would be so grateful if you can make a donation which will allow us to continue to bring stories to you, both in print and online. Or please make cheques payable to “MSI Media Limited” and send by post to South London Press, Unit 112, 160 Bromley Road, Catford, London SE6 2NZ
