Exclusive: Charlton Athletic reject striker bid from Peterborough

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Charlton Athletic have rejected a bid from Peterborough for striker Josh Magennis.

The Northern Ireland international is also the subject of interest from Bolton Wanderers, who failed with their attempts to land him during the January window.

Posh’s offer for the centre-forward is below Charlton’s valuation.

Magennis has 12 months to run on his Valley deal.

Bolton’s top target is Bradford City’s Charlie Wyke, 26, but they appear set to weigh up a fresh approach for Magennis if the miss out on the Teessider, who is also wanted by Sunderland.
