Dulwich Runners round-up: Clare Elms shines in Surrey League Division One action
Clare Elms transferred her excellent track and field season to a different surface with ease finishing in a superb seventh place (25:09) at Reigate Priory Park in the Surrey League Division One.
Yvette Dore in good form for her upcoming Amsterdam Marathon, was the first V45 race finisher in 62nd.
Ange Norris (66th) and coach Katie Styles (68th) were not far behind as Emma Ibell completed the scoring in 78th as Dulwich finished 11th out of 15 A teams.
Their B team finished fourth with excellent runs from coach Anna Thomas (80th), Belinda Cottrill (82nd), Michelle Lennon (92nd), Ola Balme (104th) and new member Jane Bradshaw (107th).
The men’s team were eighth in their Division One match at Effingham Common.
Ed Chuck was their leading scorer with a strong run in 27th place (26:46) compared with his comfortable win in the first match last year. Other A team scorers included Jack Ramm (47th), Andy Bond (58th), Shane O’Neill (92nd), Tom South (98th), Daniel Mann (105th), Tim Bowen (112nd), Martin Belzunce (139th), Nick Wood (152nd) and James Burrows (164th).
Dulwich finished 53 points ahead of Clapham Chasers who seemed to be missing some of their leading scorers and 114 points behind Belgrave.
