Dulwich Runners injury-depleted men’s squad put in an another excellent performance in the Surrey League Cross Country clash at Mitcham Common on Saturday.
Dulwich finished third – 90 points behind Fulham – to give the red and blues a 105-point lead over their west London rivals going into the final race at Lloyd Park in February.
Ed Chuck (fourth) and Andy Bond finished in the top 10 for the third consecutive race to give themselves a great chance of individual glory in the overall and V40 awards respectively. Jack Ramm put in a storming run to record his best-ever cross country finish in 19th.
Wayne Lashley (34th), Daniel Mann (39th), Paul Devine (44th) and Thomas South (55th) all paced their runs well to continue their recent form.
Rob Hollands (70th), who flew in from New York just in time for the race, pulled away from Des Crinion (78th) on the final lap. James Burrows (98th) dipped inside the top 100 with a fine sprint finish to complete the scoring team.
The B team also performed well, with excellent debuts at the course from Graham Little, Andrea Ceccoloni, Jonny Hough and Gower Tan, supported by ever-dependable performances from Tony Tuohy, Steve Smythe, Justin Siderfin, Grzegorz Galezia and Ross Rook.
