DAYS OUT: Enchanted Eltham Palace and Gardens, SE9

This year, the award-winning gardens at Eltham Palace will once again be transformed into a remarkable illuminated world of colour, sound and light to give visitors a glittering after-dark experience, on Thursday to Sunday evenings in the weeks before Christmas.

In 2019, Enchanted Eltham Palace brings back favourite elements enjoyed last year, but with added new enchantments to brighten winter evenings – including interactive activities where visitors can change the colour and projections on the historic palace walls and ring chiming bells to play a favourite seasonal tune.

There are magical secrets hidden deep within the grounds, including dancing fairies and extraordinary talking trees, and the ancient moat will once again be brought to life with fountains that rise and fall to beguiling music.

Children will enjoy a miniature maze of light and love meeting up with their fairy friends – this year waiting for them in a special fairy walk way.
