Crystal Palace will have four absentees for opener against Fulham
By Sam Smith
Crystal Palace will be without four first team players for their Premier League opener against Fulham tomorrow.
Jonny Williams, Connor Wickham, Scott Dann and new signing Max Meyer will miss the trip to the newly promoted West Londoners.
Eagles boss Roy Hodgson said: “[Meyer] has had no pre-season at all and his last game [for previous club Schalke] came in April. In that respect his fitness is excellent. We’re going to organise a game next week against suitable opponents so the likes of Meyer can play.
“[At Fulham] we’ll be without him as well as Scott Dann who’s had a long-term injury but is close to full fitness.
“Connor Wickham and Jonny Williams are also unavailable. Those two
picked up strains in the week so we’re going to assess those.”
