Crystal Palace v Manchester City: Eagles make two changes for visit of title-chasing big guns


Roy Hodgson has made two changes to his Crystal Palace side to face Manchester City.

A groin injury forced James Tomkins off in the 1-0 victory at Newcastle last weekend and Hodgson has confirmed that the defender will miss the rest of the season. Scott Dann replaces the former West Ham man to partner Martin Kelly in defence.

The Eagles’ other change sees Christian Benteke replace Michy Batshuayi up front. The Chelsea loanee drops to the bench.

Crystal Palace: Guaita, Wan-Bissaka, Dann, Kelly, Van Aanholt, Townsend, McArthur, Milivojevic, Schlupp, Benteke, Zaha. Subs: Hennessey, Ward, Kouyate, Meyer, Sako, Ayew, Batshuayi.

Manchester City: Ederson, Walker, Kompany, Laporte, Mendy, Gundogan, D. Silva, De Bruyne, Sane, Sterling, Aguero. Subs: Muric, Danilo, Stones, Bernardo Silva, Otamendi, Mahrez, Jesus.
