Crystal Palace suffer double injury setback – with duo ruled out for remainder of Premier League season
Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has confirmed that Scott Dann and Jason Puncheon have both had their season ended by knee injuries – and may struggle to even be fit for the 2018-19 campaign.
The pair were both stretchered off during the 0-0 draw with Manchester City on New Year’s Eve.
Hodgson, speaking after Tuesday night’s 2-1 win at Southampton, said: “Dann and Puncheon are both cruciate ligament injuries. They’ll both see a specialist and likely undergo surgery once the swelling goes. We won’t see them play again this season and may not be ready for the start of next. They’re very serious injuries.”
