Crystal Palace keen on Selhurst Park return for Chelsea winger Victor Moses
BY RICHARD CAWLEY
Crystal Palace are interested in a January deal for Victor Moses – but their former player is not set to come cheap.
The Eagles would love to bring the 27-year-old back to Selhurst Park.
The Nigerian international came through the academy ranks, winning rave reviews for the first-team before a £2.7million move to Wigan Athletic in January 2010.
The South London Press has also been told that Palace – desperate to boost their firepower in the new year – have identified Liverpool’s Dominic Solanke as another potential recruit.
The question is whether the Eagles, who have spent only modestly during the last two transfer windows, will increase their kitty next month.
Reports have suggested that Chelsea will demand £12m for Moses. In the past Palace have struck loan deals with the west London outfit with Patrick Bamford, Loic Remy and Ruben Loftus-Cheek all making temporary switches.
Lewisham-raised Loftus-Cheek would be another hugely attractive addition. The Eagles were keen on him being in SE25 again this season but the England international ended up staying at Chelsea, even though his game time has been limited in the Premier League.
Wolves, Huddersfield Town and Rangers have also been linked with Solanke, 21.
