Joe Aribo is forced to sit out Charlton’s Boxing Day trip to Coventry City, but striker Karlan Grant returns to the squad.
The midfielder is suffering with a knee injury that he picked up during the 2-0 win over Gillingham at The Valley on Saturday.
Darren Pratley comes in to replace Aribo in what is the only change for Bowyer from the weekend. The game marks a first start for Pratley since the 5-0 FA Cup 1stround replay win over Mansfield six weeks ago – the former Bolton man has since be nursing a hamstring injury.
Grant is fit enough for a return to the bench after picking up a minor hamstring knock during the 2-1 win at league-leaders Portsmouth a fortnight ago, with George Lapslie also amongst the substitutes after an absence due to suffering a concussion during the same game.
Charlton: Steer, Dijksteel, Pearce, Bauer, Solly, Bielik, Pratley, Reeves, Fosu, Taylor, Ajose. Subs: Phillips, Stevenson, Sarpong-Wiredu, Lapslie, Hackett-Fairchild, Grant, Marshall.
