Chris Kongo chases 10th victory – with York Hall bout this weekend

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Chris Kongo will try to move his unbeaten record into double figures on Saturday night.

The Bermondsey welterweight is 9-0 in the paid ranks and is scheduled to face Adam Grabiec (5-22) at Bethnal Green’s York Hall.

Kongo had been hoping to box at Wembley Stadium last weekend – the South Londoner was a floating bout which would have been used to fill any gaps on the show headlined by Anthony Joshua.

But the fact fights involving Lawrence Okolie and Luke Campbell went the distance saw the opportunity fall through.
