Charlton Athletic v Doncaster Rovers team news: Lee Bowyer makes nine changes for FA Cup clash

Lee Bowyer makes nine changes and names just five substitutes as Charlton prepare for their FA Cup second round tie with Doncaster Rovers.

The Addicks boss had warned in midweek that he would rotate his squad and also uses the opportunity to give the likes of Billy Clarke and Ben Reeves minutes as they continue their returns from injury.

Dillon Phillips takes over from Aston Villa loanee Jed Steer between the sticks, with Naby Sarr and Anfernee Dijksteel partnering up in the centre of defence.

Toby Stevenson and Mark Marshall are expected operate on either side of the back-four.

Clarke and Reeves will be joined in the midfield by George Lapslie and Taylor Maloney, with Nicky Ajose and Reece Hackett-Fairchild starting up-top.

Mikhail Kennedy is on the bench for the first time since September 2015, having spent the last fifteen months out with an ACL injury.

Charlton: Phillips, Stevenson, Sarr, Dijksteel, Marshall, Lapslie, Reeves, Maloney, Clarke, Ajose, Hackett-Fairchild. Subs: Steer, Blumberg, Sarpong-Wiredu, Morgan, Kennedy.
