Charlton Athletic v Brentford team news: Three changes as Bowyer almost reverts to Barnsley line-up – Hemed on the bench
BY LOUIS MENDEZ
Lee Bowyer makes three changes for today’s London derby between Charlton and Brentford – but there is a first place on the bench for new signing Tomer Hemed.
The Addicks boss is reverting almost exactly to the side that drew with Barnsley last weekend, minus the injured Chris Solly.
This means that captain Jason Pearce will return to partner Tom Lockyer at the heart of the defence.
Darren Pratley, who signed a one-year contract extension this week, will return in place of West Brom loanee Sam Field – with Jonny Williams coming back in to the starting eleven with Erhun Oztumer.
Hemed, whose transfer from Brighton was finally ratified during the week, will take a place amongst the substitutes.
Charlton: Phillips, Purrington, Pearce, Lockyer, Oshilaja, Cullen, Pratley, Gallagher, Williams, Leko, Taylor. Subs: Amos, Sarr, Field, Bonne, Hemed, Oztumer, Lapslie.
