Charlton Athletic transfer target Ruben Lameiras has opted to head back to Portugal – signing a four-year deal with FC Famalicao.
The Addicks had been at an advanced stage of talks with the Lisbon-born 24-year-old.
But the South London Press heard that the deal had hit a stumbling block at the start of this week, with Lameiras switching to a Portuguese-based agent.
And now the attacking midfielder, who is leaving Plymouth Argyle following their relegation to League Two, has sealed a return home.
FC Famalicao play in the top-flight in Portugal.
