Charlton Athletic striker Lyle Taylor: Roland Duchatelet doesn’t want to back boss Lee Bowyer

Lyle Taylor has revealed his dad sent him a text taking a dig at Roland Duchatelet after the Charlton Athletic owner refused to sanction a striker signing.
We broke the news on Monday morning that Addicks manager Lee Bowyer’s hopes of bringing in another frontman – ex-Wolves and Cardiff forward Joe Mason – had been ended by the Belgian tycoon.
Top-scorer Taylor said: “I was sent the article on Monday by my dad, along with a play on words of the chairman’s name – something used to clean yourself in the toilet.
“The way I see it, you back the manager. He [Duchatelet] has decided he doesn’t want to back the manager. I don’t know what his reasons are. I’m sure he has his reasons, because most people do for the things they do.
“There is absolutely nothing we can do about it in the dressing room.
“Would we have liked another one in, so that we change games? Yeah. Are we going to get that opportunity? Absolutely not.
“What can we do? I feel for the manager, Steve Gallen [head of recruitment] and the staff in general – they must just feel they are banging their head against a brick wall. That’s similar to how the fans seem to feel.
“I don’t think it is going to change. I don’t know if he [Duchatelet] is even going to sell the club. He doesn’t seem to be that interested in anything Charlton, or anything helping Charlton at the moment.”

Well said Lyle. Spot on man! Good thing is we (the squad and the fans and our staff, who work so hard week in week out, are united. Why RD doesn’t just go is beyond anyone. One thing is for sure, we will be one team again tomorrow and we will give it our all on the field and in the stands!!
He should just sell Charlton and let someone run it who is interested in it, we need more players to get promoted and then the team would be more viable to sell and he’d get the money he wants for it.

Good on Lyle . This lad want’s to progress in he’s football career hopefully with Charlton but, he is seeing the bigger picture that Roland is a total inept owner who doesn’t care about our great club . Unfortunately for us bows and Taylor will go to clubs with ambitions .until Roland sells we will be in the same boat every season. The man is the strangest person that has entered S.E.7. and that’s saying something.☹️
I feel that if somebody that owns the club should put everything into that too make sure that the supporters players and management team can feel shored that every effort is made by the team that the owner should put everything effort into supporting the team not somebody that thinks it is a business and disappears
