Jake Forster-Caskey could be an injury doubt for Charlton Athletic’s pre-season friendly at Welling United on Saturday.

The Addicks are back in the UK after their training camp in Malaga last week.

And Charlton manager Lee Bowyer has revealed that Forster-Caskey, who missed most of last season following knee surgery, picked up a niggle.

“Jake came back early – he just had a bruised foot,” said the Addicks chief. “But apart from that, everything is good.”

Midfielder Forster-Caskey signed a new 12-month deal with Charlton recently.

The friendly at Park View Road is always the club’s traditional curtain-raiser to the new season.

The Addicks look set to have their new signings on show – Chuks Aneke, Tom Lockyer, Ben Purrington and Macauley Bonne.
