Charlton Athletic man faces major challenge after missing pre-season programme
BY RICHARD CAWLEY
Lee Bowyer has admitted Ben Reeves facing a major challenge to get up to match fitness after missing Charlton Athletic’s pre-season programme.
The former Milton Keynes attacker is not expected to return until the League One season gets underway.
Addicks caretaker boss Bowyer told the South London Press: ” There is nothing worse than playing catch-up in pre-season – even if you miss a week it is a lot.
“He is going to miss all of it. It is going to be tough for him, he will be trying to catch up a lot because we are pushing them like they have never been pushed before.
“We are trying to get them to a different level because of the demand that is going to be asked of them on a Saturday.”
