Charlton Athletic hoping to complete deal for West Brom’s Sam Field
BY RICHARD CAWLEY
Charlton Athletic are looking to complete a deal for West Bromwich Albion’s Sam Field.
The 21-year-old midfielder, who has made 19 Premier League appearances, is available for loan.
If Field does join the Addicks this morning then it will leave three other loan slots that can be filled – with only five allowed to be in a matchday squad.
Charlton did boost their midfield options with the return of West Ham’s Josh Cullen yesterday.
Field has been capped by England at U20, U19 and U18 levels. He was West Brom’s Academy Player of the Season in 2016. He made his Premier League debut against Middlesbrough in August 2016.
Field featured 12 times for the Baggies last season and scored in a 2-0 win at Bolton in January.
