Charlton Athletic fans beginning to realise how good on-loan Bolton goalkeeper is – Karl Robinson
Karl Robinson reckons Charlton Athletic fans are beginning to appreciate Ben Amos is a top goalkeeper.
The on-loan Bolton stopper produced superb saves in Saturday’s 1-0 win at Bradford City.
Robinson told the South London Press: “I saw a great picture of him with his arms and legs spread – that’s brave.
“We appreciate him internally and I think now the fans think we have got ourselves a good goalkeeper here. We just wish we had him permanently.
“We always knew he hadn’t played for a while and it would take two or three weeks for him to get up and running. He’s a beast. Listen, he’s going to drop crosses – I’m asking him to come for everything. But if he can’t catch it he punches it. If he misses it he makes sure the striker doesn’t get it, and he makes great saves.”
