Charlton manager Karl Robinson has played down a link to Oxford United after his odds were slashed to take charge of the League One club.

Pep Clotet was sacked by the U’s in January.

When Robinson was asked about him being a betting favourite for the vacancy, he replied:

“I know nothing about that. Since I’ve been here I have had an opportunity to go but I declined speaking to them.

“It is part and parcel of football. People look from the outside at what is going on at Charlton – where people don’t know what is happening. I’m in the midst of that.

“I have been really happy here and people seem to be happy for me to stay here. If people don’t want me here, then that changes things.”
