Charlton Athletic add experience to squad as former Fulham, Swansea and Bolton man signs two-year deal
BY RICHARD CAWLEY
Darren Pratley has signed a two-year contract with Charlton Athletic – becoming Lee Bowyer’s second signing of the summer transfer window.
The Addicks had made bringing in a central midfielder a priority with only Jake Forster-Caskey and Joe Aribo as senior options in that area of the pitch.
And we exclusively revealed last week that Pratley, released by Bolton Wanderers at the end of last season, and West Ham’s Josh Cullen were targets.
Pratley, 33, has played 458 matches in a career which has taken in Fulham, Brentford and Swansea City.
