Two of South London’s main thoroughfares need a total of £180 million spent on them to make them safe for future years. The Rotherhithe Tunnel and Vauxhall Bridge need “urgent” upgrades in the next five years and may be forced to close if TfL’s financial situation does not improve, according to a senior TfL figure.

Knock Covid for six amid the hallowed halls of Surrey’s ground, The Oval, this weekend

People living in south-east London and beyond are being invited to a special COVID-19 mass vaccination event at The Kia Oval, the home of Surrey County Cricket Club, this Saturday 17 July. From 8am to 8pm the Pfizer vaccine will be on offer at the stadium for everyone aged 18 and over.
