Cardiff boss Neil Warnock: It’s scandalous we didn’t beat Millwall tonight

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Neil Warnock described his Cardiff City side as “scandalous” for not winning tonight’s match at Millwall.

The Bluebirds twice led at The Den but were pegged back on both occasions by Tom Bradshaw strikes.

And the former Crystal Palace manager was also unhappy that Murray Wallace was not dismissed by official Timothy Robinson when Gavin Whyte went down on a break forward in the closing stages.

Warnock said: “It’s probably the most frustrating I’ve been this season, and I’ve had one or two moments. Scandalous really, I don’t know what to say to you. I’ve never felt so comfortable at Millwall – shots after shots after shots. Chances from the corner kick.

“With 12 minutes to go Gavin Whyte is taken out when he is going through on goal. That’s got to be a free-kick and a sending off, that. He knows exactly what he’s doing when you watch it back – he don’t make any attempt to play the ball. How the official can’t see that, especially when you look at the free-kicks he has given.

“I felt let down with that decision. But I can’t blame the referee, he had a good game in the circumstances.

“We were so charitable – their two goals. Unbelievable really, especially after as good an away performance as you’re going to get at a place like this. I can’t see many teams dominating as much as what we have. I don’t know how many shots we had but the first chance they had, they scored.

“The second one, dear me – it’s come from [Josh] Murphy’s free-kick.

“I get called physical, don’t I, but we wanted to try and play if we could. There’s not a lot to complain about other than the two goals we conceded.”

I don’t know what game Neil Warnock was watching ,there were some very dubious refereeing decisions made equally , as for dominating a game the stats from BBC sport confirm that Millwall had the majority of possession , and more shots on target ,and they don’t like us but as we sing we don’t care
